The Merchant Center dashboard displays relevant sales-related information about your project using views and widgets. To access the dashboard, click Dashboard in the Merchant Center main menu.

Dashboard views

A dashboard view contains customizable widgets and configuration settings such as currency and time zone. You can create multiple views based on your individual needs.

The dashboard provides a default view with the following pre-configured widgets:

  • Sales performance: sales revenue over a selectable time range.
  • Total sales: total sales for the current day, week and month, including the number of Orders.
  • Average order value: average order value for the current week, month, and year.
  • Top products by revenue for the current month: top-selling Products for the current month. The default number of Products displayed is 5, which can be changed to 10 or 15 in Widget settings.
  • Order status: total orders by Order status over a selectable time range.
  • Total orders: total order revenue by Order status over a selectable time range.
  • To tabulate the order values displayed, the dashboard leverages the totalPrice field of an Order.
  • The currency setting filters sales data based on the currency used in an Order.

To switch between views, rename, or delete a view, use the My views drop-down.

Create and modify views

If you make a change to a widget, or the configuration settings such as currency or time zone, you are prompted to save the changes to the current view, or to a new view.

  • Any changes you make to the default view can only be saved to a new view.

  • Unsaved changes to widgets or configuration settings are persisted across user login sessions. However, unsaved changes are discarded when switching between views.

Configuration

Within a view, you can use the options in the toolbar to customize the data that is displayed.

View of some UI elements on the dashboard.

Currency

The currency setting lets you filter data based on the currency used to pay for an Order.

To select a currency, click the currency drop-down, and then choose from the list of currencies configured for your Project.

Time zone

The time zone setting applies to widgets used to display sales, orders, and revenue and lets you filter data based on a specific time zone. This ensures that the sales data displayed on your dashboard view, as well as in exported reports, is based on your reporting location. Only data that falls within the selected time zone is included.

If no time zone is selected as part of the view, the view will display the data using the default time zone (GMT +00:00). To select a time zone, click the time zone drop-down, and then choose from the list of time zones.

Export report

The export report feature lets you export your current dashboard view as a report. The data in the exported report corresponds to the dashboard data at the time of export.

To export, click Export report, and then select the respective file type. The exported report can be downloaded as a PDF, CSV, or TSV file. The PDF format is a visual representation of data whereas the CSV and TSV formats allow for data ingress into other systems.
